Wow, that's awful! She'd be hidden from my feed ASAP, and my privacy settings would be changed so she can't see anything from me, either. Unacceptable. Sorry to hear you're going through a rough time, too. You don't need THAT on top of it!

Sorry to hear that! So unnecessary at this point in your life. I would unfriend her without any guilt, as I did with my FIL after crossing several boundary issues with us.

What a bitch! Ugh. I don't facebook, but I would make it so I didn't have to see her garbage. Hugs during this difficult time.

Wow. I'm sorry. My first childish thought was to post an article on butting-in mother-in-laws!

Seriously though - great advice given above.

I'm sorry things are so hard! That is really in poor taste for her to post it. I read that article and while I'm sure it pertains to many marriages (wife OR husband being too critical), it certainly doesn't apply to all. Big hugs to you and hoping for the best for your marriage.

Ugh, that's awful. I'd be so angry.

You forgot the "or both" option. She knew you'd see it, couldn't possibly have thought you'd take kindly to it (or she would have just sent you a link), and was clueless enough to assume you'd welcome her input...because really, when you're having marital issues, who would you rather take advice from than your MIL?

I'm so sorry Binkandbee. I hope you and your DH are able to work things out in a way that is best for both of you. Good luck working through this stressful time. And don't let that MIL get under your skin - hide her on FB, stat, and also hide her from seeing your posts!

Is FIL alive? If so, congratulate her on her self awareness. If not, or if they are divorced, console her and congratulate her her on her self awareness.. It is so BRAVE of her to own this. On Facebook, no less. Bless her heart!
