    Default Need Oatmeal Recipes!!!

Hi everyone. My sister just got out of the hospital from Pancreatitis. Turns out her triglycerides are off the chart. I am in need of some yummy and healthy recipes with oatmeal. She hates oatmeal made the normal breakfast way. So please help me, help her! Thank you.

Has she tried overnight oats? It's a different texture and served cold.

My kids like these: http://www.food.com/recipe/healthy-b...d-fruit-147262 I make them in a 9x13 pan.

We love Coach's Oats from Costco. Just add water and heat in the microwave. It tastes delicious even without anything added.

There's the BBB baked oatmeal recipe if you search these boards. If she isn't a fan of oatmeal by itself, how about incorporating it into other dishes as well? You can use oatmeal instead of barley in soups, and I've made meatloaf with oatmeal replacing the breadcrumbs.

    Another vote for baked oatmeal.
It's so versatile. We are currently on our second batch of my new favorite flavor creation: banana, shredded coconut, and pecans. When the weather gets cooler I'm going to do a "pumpkin pie" one.

YUM! I love upma but have only had the noodle or cream of wheat versions. I can't wait to try this!
