For Potatoes and Apples. My dad has a peeler that I swear is 50 years old & I've never had a peeler I liked. It seems like a good stocking stuffer! So which peeler do you guys recommend? Is there one you love?
TIA

The OXO swivel one! I even travel with it when we rent a vacation house!
I love my zylis peeler. All my relatives who have used it while here gave also loved it, so I've given them as gifts too.

I have the Kuhn Rikon swiss peeler. It's great. There are some others by the same company that look interesting and get good reviews.

I bought a Messermeister serrated peeler based on a Cook's illustrated review a couple years ago and really like it. It's nice and sharp and peels easier than oxo and other brands I've had in the past. I actually did give them as stocking stuffers one year....

I just got this one to make memories with the children and cousins, but haven't tried it yet.

Thanks everyone!
I bought the Kuhn Rikon after watching America's Test Kitchen. It was a whopping $2.50. I actually bought it in a 3 pack at the grocery store. Just be aware that it has a carbon steel blade, so you need to rinse it right after using and dry it to prevent rust. No dishwasher (this is why I bought a 3-pack.)
I love my OXO pealer! Its over 15 years old and still very sharp and going strong!
