Question on fit of Kids Merrell Jungle Moc

Bought these for my son recently on Amazon. they were so cheap, like $18.50ish. Anyways, I bought him a size 3.5 and a size 4. They came yesterday and the 4 is huge. The 3.5 is still big because when he walks his heel slips out of the shoe. He is currently wearing a pair of Under Armour sneakers (tie) in a size 3.5. I bought them in October and he had some room to grow in those. He was measured at the shoe store recently for winter boots and the guy said he should wear a size 4 BOGs (again some room to grow).

So do the Jungle Mocs run really big? Not sure I will re-order since the sale on Amazon is over. I would keep them, but I worry that they will fit him later next spring/summer when he doesnt need a pair of shoes like that.

I've only had my DC try on one pair, but I remember thinking I that they ran TTS but narrow.
