Need some PTs.
I've been having back pain off and on for about three weeks, with increasing frequency and pain. Anyone care to guess what my Dr thinks it is?
A kidney stone.
This is a first for me but I can't imagine it'll improve Christmas.
Any recommendations for temporary pain relief?

YES! After frequent trips to the ER with DH, his mother, and his father, finally one doc told us that if you're pretty sure it's a kidney stone, take 600 of advil (or generic) every eight hours for three times (so, a whole 24 hours). The intense pain is your body clamping down on the stone, and this helps with that pain while your body tries to get rid of it. (It does not make the stone go away, but might make passing it less miserable.) Has saved us three trips to the ER!
