    Default Young teen purse recommendations

DN is almost 13 and just got her first purse. It is cute and age appropriate, but just barely fits her ipad mini plus a couple of pockets for lip balm and keys. I think she will soon need something a bit bigger. She is not a VB girl at all, likes cute things, but not cutesy, not at all interested in makeup or fashion really. So cute, but practical? Also, she thinks she wants a cross-body type, which I find to be a pain, but maybe not at her age? Hit me with some recs and links please!

Kipling? I always thought they were for teenagers due to the key chain thing attached to it.

I would hold off on any designer brand purses. Easier to set a low bar. .
I do like Sherpani ones though. I found it at TJ Maxx. That's a great place to go and just check out a variety of brands, styles, and colors and get a good deal.

Baggalini has lots of smaller cross body styles that are nice. You can often find them at Marshalls/TJMaxx, too.

Have you looked at the Lug brand? Solid colors, with tons of pockets. Some bags even have a lined pocket to fit an iPad

I have a small Fossil crossbody bag that my 11 yo desperately wants. I got that at Macy's on deep discount, but have had good luck finding things at TJ Maxx and Marshall's.

My 12 yr old found a small black purse at target. She's not carrying more than her wallet at this time. If she needs more she just grabs her bookbag.
