Default Hot flashes at night, apparently. Any tips?

I guess I'm having hot flashes at night. Sheesh!

I generally run cold and our room is cool. I sleep in pajama bottoms and a t-shirt and sometimes socks. Under a down comforter. Perfect!

Until I wake up at night soaked, soaked! in sweat. Then, later, I wake up absolutely freezing in my soaked pajamas.

So, probably nothing to do but accept this as how things are. I can't sleep in skimpy pajamas because I'll freeze. But then I'm soaking what I'm wearing!

    What works for you?

I remember wearing fleece pj's when I had postpartum sweats, maybe that would help? The fleece was almost too toasty at times but didnt absorb sweat. Or switch to shorts and add a waffle weave cotton blanket to the bedding?

I think you'd be better w layers of blankets instead of so many clothes.

Try pjs from Soma. They are more wicking. No cotton pjs. I've tried different pj options and even if I wear skimpy pjs, I'll still sweat through the sheets. It's a lot easier to change pjs in the middle of the night than sheets. I keep a change beside my bed.
