    Default Poll...How Much Laundry?

    Hi all,

I just finished doing 6 loads of laundry today and I last did laundry Friday or Saturday.

I was joking with DH that I could easily do a load of laundry a day.

I do laundry for all of us and we are a family of 4.

How much laundry do you do?

    How many people?

    TIA
    Lindsey

I have about 12 loads a week for the 5 of us.

-I overseparate (whites, hot water colors, darks, lights, reds)
-My oldest is 5'2 and 95lbs, so it's another set of adult sized clothes
-we don't reuse towels from showering (it grosses me out)
-my DH wears work clothes and gym clothes every day

You guys are already making me feel better.

We wash towels and sheets weekly and my kids are both still pretty little.

    And I underseparate.

4 people, at least one, usually two loads per day every day. Sigh.

4 people, both kids in school uniforms and multiple sports, and DS1 is the size of a (smallish) adult. I do laundry twice a week. Wednesdays it's usually 3-4 loads. Sunday I do sheets and towels plus all the clothes so that's usually about 8 loads.

I do one load of whites, one of colors and one of darks per week. We have a huge capacity washer and we live in t-shirts and shorts here so I feel like the laundry volume is smaller. But we do a ton of towels and sheets. Maybe four loads a week? Probably almost one per day. DH is really particular about his work clothes (jeans and j crew buton ups actually) so he washes them individually in very tiny loads. I'm not sure how much that adds up to!

4-6/ week. Because the laundry is in the basement, I can keep a mountain of sheets and towels so I only wash those when we run out of our (way too big) stash in the linen closet. If I had to wash those regularly too, add another load/ week. All clothes go cold/cold, dry low- no separating here.

6 people and 1 in cloth diapers. I do all of the laundry. Towels twice a week (2 loads each time), bedding once (2 loads, will be 3 once youngest has her own bed). We do cloth napkins and no paper towels, so a load of napkin/kitchen towels every other day. At least 1 load of clothes a day, more during sports seasons. In summer, lots of pool towels too.
