Auditory Processing Disorder evaluations

If your DC was evaluated for APD, was it done my a psychological examiner or by an audiologist? I've read it must be done my an audiologist, however, there aren't many in our area who evaluate. There is a diagnostic/therapy center that does evaluate for ADHD, Dyslexia, APD, etc. but I don't believe they have an audiologist on staff for diagnostic purposes.

My son is finally old enough to be evaluated for this and around here we have to go to an audiologist. Haven't had it done yet though!
