Our bag is empty, and the random (tyson?) bag we tried was not good. I don't think we can afford to flash freeze chick fil a nuggets for later consumption.

Personally we're buying the refrigerated Perdue nuggets. My kids are actually PREFERRING them now to the Mickey nuggets, but certainly the cost is not the same. I find a 3 pack tray at BJ"s for around $8.00. They can be frozen if i find a sale at a supermarket.
I just bought a small bag of our grocery store brand of chicken nuggets. Wegmans and it's pretty decent for an emergency dinner every now and then.

Belle and Evans or Applegate.
My kids never liked the Mickey ones. They preferred the dino kind. Now that they're older they like the Rocky chicken tenders that are available at Costco.
We buy a mixture, the kids aren't particularly picky. TJ's, Belle and Evans when on sale at WFM (careful, these are NOT pre-cooked!!), applegate and sometimes the Dino ones if I can only get to a conventional grocery store...
