    Default honey under 1

Is honey still unsafe to give to babies under 1 if it's been heated?

These days my 10 month old mostly just eats whatever we're eating. But I just realized the salmon I'm cooking for dinner involves a marinade that includes honey. The marinade is made by simmering the ingredients (including the honey) for several minutes -- then the fish will also be broiled or grilled (depending on the weather by dinnertime!). Is it baby-safe?

I know to not give honey until she's over 1 year, but I just wasn't sure if it was okay when cooked like this.

    TIA!

I wouldn't. The botulism spores, which is what is harmful to babies, but not anyone else, require much higher heat to kill.
