Default Recommend your vacuum for hardwood floors

We just moved into our new house and I finally threw out my old Kenmore canister vacuum that I hated so much. Looking for a vacuum recommendation for hardwood floors. We have no carpeting, just hardwood floors and tiles.

    Thanks!

We just got a Miele canister vac and I'm loving it! If you have all hardwood you can get one of their cheaper models that just comes with the parquet floor attachment. I have a bunch of high pile throw rugs plus hardwood so had to go with a more expensive model with a powerbrush. It's super quiet and the cost probably added up to the 3 mediocre cheapo vacuums I've bought over the past decade. Should have gone with a Miele from day one!
