I'm looking into Alaskan cruises right now for August.

I don't want to hijack, but I'd be so grateful if you'd share your research. We definitely want to do an Alaskan cruise, but we've never cruised at all before, and I'm at a real loss as to how to plan the trip! We're looking not as this coming summer but maybe at the next.

Hijack away! this can turn into a 2017 summer Alaskan cruise planning thread. The cruise critic boards are so overwhelming to me but I'm trying to wade in slowly.
