Default Period ever 2 weeks- menopause?

I'm getting my period more frequently, some months it's every 2 weeks. Is the irregularity part of menopause?

You aren't that old, right? I think every two weeks is too frequent. I would make an appointment with your gyn.

Default Period ever 2 weeks- menopause?

I'm 44.....it's not every month and wonder if linked to days I may take the pill late? I'm on a low dose birth control. I'll start tracking and see if there's a pattern. I will go to the dr. My period isn't heavy.

My older sister is 46 and she's getting hot flashes etc, said it started around my age now.

I had this at a similar age. They never found a direct cause - I have fibroids and they are large but the dr didnt seem to think it was the cause. She did say that over time sometimes the mini pill is no longer enough esp if you dont take it exactly at the same time every day. They were going to switch to a reg pill but But a family history of blood clots made the pill unsuitable - I ended up with an IUD and the problem was solved. Good luck!

My guess is that it's related to missing or taking your pill late.

Thyroid issues can also cause period issues and mid cycle bleeding.
