Default Fall/winter comfortable Teacher shoes recommendations?

Starting back to work as a sub...really like roomy shoes I can wear with warm socks, but they need to look nice too. I'm hoping to get a part time job through this, so something more flattering than Merrell Jungle Mocs. What's cool these days?

    Toms booties?
Is the school so cold that you need warm socks?

These may be dressier than you're looking for. I like to go dressier because they make me feel more pulled together I enjoy Sam Edelman ballet flats, as well as Cole Haan wedges. They're both normally out of my budget so I pick them up at the Rack. I also have a bit of a thing for booties, no brand in particular, and they can be good with socks. Some schools are cold! Personally I like a smartwool sock because they're thin enough to wear with normal shoes but also warm.

I think there's a circulation thing causing cold fingers/toes/noes, so I'm seeing a new doc within the month. I'm from a hot state and living in a state with some snow and ice. Brrr...

Forgot to add: Links and pics are appreciated!

I learned about this blog here: https://www.barkingdogshoes.com

I think she's done teacher specific posts in the past. I agree with pp suggestion of booties to wear with socks. I'm still searching for a really comfy pair so no help there.

I have Reynaud's and I hate the winter because of this despite living in this area (DC) most of my life. I'm not sure how wide your feet are, but you may want to go up to a wider width so you can have nice thick wool socks. I really like Blondo - their wide is a C, not a D so if you need just a bit more room it keeps it from slipping around too much, and they're all both lined and waterproof. La Canadienne is really nice as well but much more expensive.

Also, you probably won't be sitting down that much but this foot warmer is amazing - https://www.amazon.com/Cozy-Products...ds=foot+warmer though it was much cheaper when I bought it a year ago.

In the fall, I wear my Blunstone booties almost every day. Don't know if I'd consider them 'cool', but they're warm, comfy, and last forever. I'm a speech language pathologist and go to different schools every day- on my feet a lot.

I daily sub too and when its cold I tend to wear tall boots with leggings or skinny pants. Most of mine are from Kohls, so nothing fancy, but comfy enough to be on my feet alot (one pair I had to add a gel insert to to make it more comfortable). I also have a few pairs of Born and BOC wedge clogs. I have some boot socks from Kohls that have some wool in them but they aren't super thick and I wear these in the boots and clogs for added warmth.

    OP here -

What are the thoughts on these Danskos?

or these Reiker boots, where I love the review that says, "Reiker, stop overdesigning your boots. We want simple."

I've never had Danskos so I can't speak to their comfort, but I have several pairs of Reikers and they're amazing. Definitely all day shoes for a profession that requires a lot of standing. I'm not sure if the particular pair that you posted are "indoors" booties, though, mostly because of the sole. They kind of run the risk of looking like you never took off your outdoor/winter boots.

    What about these? https://www.zappos.com/p/rieker-d738...ail_2_sims_sdp

    or maybe these?

These still have that grippy sole but it's not as obvious:
