    Default Britax Frontier Styrofoam

I have a britax frontier seat that doesn’t expire for another 3 years. The styrofoam in the headwing broke off. Is the seat still safe to use? I thought I had read it was just for comfort, that the steel frame is what kept the kids safe?

Call Britax and ask them. They have great customer service.

I agree, call and ask. I have heard of manufacturers telling people to just tape it back on, and I have also heard of manufacturers replacing seats.

The Styrofoam piece broke a few years ago when I took it apart to wash the cover. I contacted Britax and they sent me a new piece, no charge.
