Default Disney Cruise with a 10 yo and 8 yo

We’re looking at Disney cruises this summer. 5 day and 7 day Caribbean cruises. The 5 day has one day at sea and two days at Castaway. The 7 day has 3 days at sea and 1 day at Castaway. I’m thinking I would prefer 2 days at Castaway and that my guys would be bored with 3 days at sea. Thoughts?

We have done two 14 night Disney Cruises and had atleast 7 sea days on each. It is pretty hard to get bored on a Disney ship. The kids clubs are extravagant with lots to do (video games, organized games and classes, play structure) plus the pools, trivia games. There are board games and cards stocked in one of the lounges that families gather to play.
I have never been to Castaway Cay, but if your family likes beach time, 2 days could easily be enjoyed. They can go to kids programming on the island also, so you and DH can have some alone time, or one on one time with one kid.
