Default Anyone want to help me accessories (formal-ish dinner)

I won an award for work and need help dressing up for the dinner. I have a long black dress that I love and am planning to wear (looks sort of like this) but am looking for shoes (wedges or tiny heels!), a clutch of some sort, and maybe something to wear over the dress in case it's freezing in the room. Maybe jewelry too. Looking for something between business casual and black tie. Not looking to spend a lot, either, since it won't get much use otherwise. Hit me with links and ideas, pretty please!

Pretty dress and congrats on the award!

Do you tend to prefer gold or silver? Kohl's has a bunch of cute and inexpensive necklaces that could work, or somewhere like Charming Charlie. My first thought is either statement necklace plus pretty bracelet and smaller earrings or awesome earrings and bracelet depending on the neckline. It could be fun to bring in a little color with the jewelry and clutch.

If you want color, I would add a colorful shawl. I would go for a single jewel tone one. Then probably silver jewelry and shoes, although simple black shoes would look great also.

I would do something like this for shoes: https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/ni...ctiveColor=065
    DS 2/14
    DD 8/17

I have a dress just like that and it has served me well! I change up my styling of it a bunch but one iteration I like is with red patent peep toe heels. Nice fun bit of color.
I usually stick with a cuff style bracelet and dangly earrings when I wear it.
I agree with hitting up Charming Charlie. That place is great!
Do go bare legs. It's past tight season, just an FYI.

I love a classic black suede pointy toe shoe. I love San Edelman Rodney if you want a flat, or Hazel if you want a heel.
