Default Universal Orlando with a 48” child

I’ve been dying to go to Universal to see the Harry Potter area but have been waiting for DS2 to grow a bit. I think we could sneak away for a long weekend in November. DS2 is 48” tall. Will he be able to ride most of the Harry Potter rides? I hate to take him and for him to miss out on a lot. He doesn’t like the big roller coasters so that helps but for those that have been what are your thoughts? We would arrive Friday night and leave Monday. Is that enough time? TIA

All good on height. Only can’t ride Dr. Doom and the big coasters.
Stay onsite at Hard Rock, Portofino Or Royal Pacific to get Express because I think you ideally need 3 park days so you aren’t rushed enjoying the awesomeness of HP stuff. With Express Passes at least you will save time not waiting in long lines. Do wait in some of them though because the line theming is pretty cool!

Thank you!! I knew it was somewhere but couldn’t find it.

    How does the Express work?

There’s a separate line, like the fast pass line at Disney. But, unlike Disney, you don’t schedule anything and they’re unlimited so you just pop into the line of the ride you want to ride whenever. Lines will be pretty short with them.

Thank you! Any preference as far as on-site hotels?

Hard Rock is my favorite, but the Royal Pacific will likely be cheaper and is a lovely hotel too. You can’t go wrong with those 3.

We stayed at Portofino Bay because it was the cheapest and it was okay. It was very spread out and I felt like it was such a long walk to anything. Was not my favorite. We booked through Costco travel.

We went when it wasn’t busy (mid January) and had 5 days so stayed at Cabana Bay. All of the deluxe ones look great but the theming of Royal Pacific really appeals to me.
