My friend is in an evac area. They didn’t leave. I don’t want to open my FB and see her kids enjoying the crazy winds. 🙁 She says her long time local neighbors say it’s safe. I sure hope so! I don’t think I can open FB until it’s over!!

Is your friend okay? I think it’s important for people to realize that storms are getting worse. Even if an area has weathered bad storms many times in the past, the storms we’re getting now and will get in the future are more violent.

She's ok! She's shockingly close to the areas that were very hard hit but they were hardly affected at all. I really struggle when people ignore calls to evacuate. Now I can at least open my feed without fear!
