Sounds very similar to Pioneer Woman's mashed potatoes (without the garlic). I made those years ago (probably when she posted it) because they could be made 2 days ahead, but used sour cream instead of half and half.

Reheat the potatoes for 30 mins at 350. I put it in the crockpot for a couple of hours on high then drop to low to keep it warm.

Here's the recipe from my mom! She uses a ricer for the potatoes and garlic.

Thanks so much! I won’t have a chance to try it for Thanksgiving. We’re going to my mother, and she’s very particular about the menu, but I might try it at the next big feast where I get to choose the menu.

I wonder if this would work with cauliflower instead of potatoes. Has anyone tried it?

Hahaha, I didn't even notice they were laminated! She probably used my laminator that I bought with all the other BBB members that one holiday season years ago!

I do it all the time for my immediate family using half potatoes, half roasted cauliflower that I've pureed! Smaller size so I just put a big spoonful each of sour cream and cream cheese and about a 1/4 cup of butter.
