Target GC deal?

I was thinking that Target does a gift card deal Black Friday weekend. Like spend so much on gift cards and get a discount or a gift card bonus or something. Or is it just the spend $50 online and get a 20% off coupon for future purchase and gift cards are included in this?

Edit: Does anyone know if the spend $50 get a 20% off coupon deal is working if you just buy Target gift cards? I know at least one year it did, but haven’t tried yet today.

The discount on the gift cards is usually a little later. I don't remember when, but after BF for sure.

I just looked on their website, and if you spend $50 or more on their website today only, they'll email you a 20% off coupon to use one time between 11/27 and 12/8.

Per several people on slickdeals, yes, you can buy a giftcard for 50$ and then get the 20% off coupon and use that during the valid times. You won't be able to buy giftcards with the 20% off, though.

Last year the Target 10% off gift cards was during the first week of December. Fingers crossed!
