How reply?

My sister, the one I complain about, isn’t going to my parents for Christmas. She sent a group text saying not enough time off, too expensive (which happens when you don’t book international flight until 3 weeks before Christmas), and she’s tired from new job and wants to just sleep.

The “I must look after my little sister” side of me, wants to invite her to my house. The “I’m exhausted from dealing with stress of DS’ nerve pain disorder and missing too much work” side of me wants low-key no drama Christmas with our close friends.

So I’m not going to invite her, she’s 44 and has friends I’m assuming she can spend Christmas with, like she did for Thanksgiving. But how do I reply to that text? I’m waiting for my mom or older sister to say something first, but they often don’t reply to the texts for awhile or at all.
