Best Turbo Tax deal?

Are all the deals pretty much the same these days?

I've been buying at Costco during January (with automatic coupon) for the last several years, but i see prices are pretty consistent even on Amazon. ($39.99 w/ one state)

Is this still the best way to go, buying the cd? Or does everyone just download now? (I honestly don't know!) Few reviews i have read have stated the cd wouldn't load, and they just ended up downloading anyway when they called customer service on it.

Any advice? Are there really FREE versions out there?
Prefer to stick with Turbo Tax since that is what i started on years ago, since most of the my info is in there already. Thanks.

We always just do Costco. I'm guessing others are just catching on and catching up with that deal.

I think TT prompts you for this, but remember that you may be able to write off the cost of the software; it counts as a tax preparation service.

I did this Target/Google Express deal and got Home & Business for under $50 - Costco is $65 for that version so I was happy.
