Help..comfortable dressy sandals

Ughhh..I have such picky feet! I need a pair of high heeled sandals to wear to a wedding with a black lace overlay dress. I don't usually wear heels, so nothing too high. I have a wide foot. I just tried a couple of Steve Madden 6.5 W and they were too big so sending back to Zappos. The size 6.5 Nine West normal width straps cut across my toes. So I may be limited to wide widths or shoes that run wide.

Any suggestions? Or do I just keep ordering and returning through Zappos until I find something?

I think I am getting my posters mixed up. Are you ok with a high heel? If so, you can ignore these first few though they still might be ok. All below are available in wide.

I know that one isn't very exciting but they are versatile.

I never replied to your other shoe thread but I don't mind an ankle strap even on fellow shorties like me. I'm short. There's no real camouflaging that. If the shoe is super cute and has an ankle strap, rock on. Yes, it does cut the leg line some but for a really cute shoe I think it's ok.
