I am headed there with the kids (12 and 14) for 3 days.Hit me up with things to do /see! We are meeting friends for lunch one day, and seeing a UT softball game one night, but that's all we have planned.

I’m not sure when you’re going but summer is HOT. We head out early to do things outside and plan for indoor activities during the hottest part of the day. My guys are younger but this our list.
See the bats!

Kayak on Lady Bird Lake
Hike in Zilker Park
Barton Springs Pool - the water is cold so my guys have never tried it but it’s fun to watch if you don’t want to swim.

Not in Austin but a short drive - Schlitterbahn.

Super fun place just to sort of roam around.
Zilker Park too like jgenie said.....there is a cute train that leaves from the Barton Springs Playground. Walking around the Lake is always nice
Nature and Science Center

Nothing special but something to do, might be too young for your kiddos.
Walking around UT for awhile is fun. There is a small pond with turtles behind the clock tower. (We just spent last Saturday walking around campus for the afternoon.)
The Capitol is a short walk from UT and its just a neat place to walk around...inside and out.
Bob Bullock Museum

It is a nice little museum that is easy to do in an afternoon.
LBJ Museum

Lady Bird Wildflower Center

It is just beautiful.
South Congress area...there are lots of cool shops and resturants, a lot of vintage clothing shops and even a vintage candy store.
The Bats...if you can book a boat ride to see them otherwise watching from the bridge works too. They never disappoint.

If you like escape rooms....there are TONS here in Austin.

I'll try to think of some more things to do!

Thanks! We are headed there this week so it won't be super hot. We'll try to see the bats! Hopefully they cooperate - it looks really neat.
It will probably be great weather for wandering the gardens, too.
Hopefully it’s not too early for the bats. I think they return around March. We haven’t seen any here at our house in georgetown yet.
The bob bullock museum is great, as well as the inner space caverns. The natural bridge caverns aren’t too far away either.
It’s a great time to go. Weather should be mild enough to get out enjoy full days.
Try to get some pictures of your kids in the bluebonnets! They might think it’s cheesy but they are gorgeous!!

Make sure you don't sit under the bridge to watch the bats!!!
How was your trip?
