    Does he have an Employee Assistance Plan through work (EAP)? Those often have virtual visits for Mental health both via an app on your phone and talking to a counselor remotely. Kaiser may also offer those services. Having an app in the palm of his hand may help him have easier access when HE is available or in need versus trying to get to an appointment when he doesn't feel like he has time. Services like that may bridge the gap and are often free.

    It is hard to say that one person has one, but not the other, or both, but how much. Meds to treat one may make the other worse, or better. There are some validated and tools and questionnaires to figure out which one is the most "upfront" one. The one thing I think is beneficial at any level is cognitive behavior therapy. It does take time to really do it. Every week for a few months, but it's not meds. So maybe your husband would consider that?
