I don't have any ideas for a gift basket. When my friend's son was going through chemo he mostly wanted to sleep. I did find a skin cream on Etsy that helped with the skin problems chemo patients got and it helped him. That shop doesn't seem to be in business any longer, but maybe you can find something equivalent either on Etsy or elsewhere.
