Default UPDATE IN OP: S/o warm raincoat

    Update-

I wanted to give an update in case it helps someone else. I ended up getting the via spaga solid hooded anorak, which is waterproof and is a somewhat heavier weight than a typical raincoat. It looks attractive too, somewhat fitted with an adjustable hood, so it replaces my everyday trench that was falling apart. Here in CA, this could be used almost year round (counting summer nights lol) with a sweater underneath in the winter. I’m so glad I found this because my previous trench was not waterproof. This multitasks so I don’t have to worry about rainy days.

Here is a link so you can see what it looks like:

I also tried one of the Boden raincoats. They have a new name now, but I found it a bit too flashy :-) I also didn’t like the straight shape.

In addition to this, I found a lole piper raincoat (both coats from Nordstrom rack!) And although it is a lighter weight packable raincoat, I bought it because it’s longer and also in a more muted color than the one from LE. I’ve never understood why raincoats are short because my pants would just get drenched. Since you all had mentioned it on this thread, I noticed it and so glad I did! I would use this in CA spring as a light raincoat that’s easily portable.

We’ve had some unusual weather, including rain in May, so they’ve come in handy!

This is slightly different from the other thread so I didn’t want to mix it up. I am looking for a warm waterproof raincoat. I already have a light one from Lands’ End, but I need something that’s stylish yet functional and will work for cool rainy days (temps in the 50s-60s). Any ideas?

I already have a couple of trenchcoats, but they are not waterproof.

I have one I really like from Lolé, I got it from Amazon. i can't find the exact one on there though, got it a few years ago.

ETA: It might have been the Glowing jacket, which looks like it has different styling now. That's definitely the most similar to the one I have. Also, I saw Columbia rain-type jackets at Marshalls yesterday for $39.99. Might be worth a look!

I buy Lole stuff on Zappos. I love their bathing suits.
    Sorry, OP, no suggestions!

I think a Boden Rainy Day Mac would fit the bill. I’ve always wanted one but never pulled the trigger.

In my most recent Stitch Fix I got this jacket (it was $128 from Stitch Fix) and it is a nice heavier weight without being too heavy and it has a nice jersey lining: https://www.andrewmarc.com/product/m...dOption=559595
