I just bought DD2 a pair of these (and tried them on myself). They are incredibly lightweight and IMO they are really cute! You do have to wear them with socks - the inside isn't soft/seamless enough for no socks. We got them for less than $50 at Nordstrom Rack.

My Allbirds tree runners are amazingly comfy, not quite as light as the above, BUT soft/seamless enough on the inside to wear without socks. They're also twice as expensive

I was going to recommend very similar shoes. I got these for $35 from Amazon warehouse and they are really comfortable! Just wore them for a big international trip, and my feet never hurt.
