Default UN Tour - dress code

Has anyone taken the tour? What should we bring to wear? The website says:
    Is there a dress code?

Yes, please dress appropriately for the international diplomatic environment of the United Nations.

What is "appropriately" for this tour? I need less vague!

My guess is not jeans, t-shirts, shorts... or typical tourist attire. Skirts, dresses, dress pants... you could probably get away with polo shirts but that’s as casual as I’d go. Pull up google images and see if you can find your pictures from others.

Thanks. I tried searching there, but didn't see that one. Jeans would be great.

We went and my kids from 8-13 loved it. We wore summer weight chinos and I think my daughter had a summer skirt but with regular short sleeves. I’m pretty sure people had jeans. Just not sloppy tank tops and such. It is a great tour. Have fun!

Sneakers should be fine. We had an amazing tour guide who was so smart and looked like Amal Clooney!

Is this just the regular guided tour? We didn’t plan ahead and just wore our regular summery clothes, not at all business appropriate, and it was fine.

Perhaps you’re referring to something else..
