Need baby shower gift ideas, please

I am going to a friend's baby shower this weekend and I have no idea what to get. She doesn't have a registry and said not to get anything because she doesn't need anything. It a second baby, same gender as the first and less than two years between them. So she still has all of the baby stuff and tons of clothes. I thought about a personalized towel, but it won't get here in time. Any other ideas? TIA!

I would buy books. Board books tend to get pretty beat up and there are always great picture books to buy.

Something new that's been out with my current baby that wasn't out with my other babies is the haaka, if she is breastfeeding, it's freaking amazing and pretty cheap. I haven't had to pump to build up a milk stash at all, I'm so annoyed I didn't have this for my other kids.
Diapers/wipes
Maybe something like a personalized blanket if she already knows name.

My go-to baby gift is usually an assortment of the Best Ever First Socks from Hanna Andersson in the 1-2 size. Sometimes I add in size 2-4 if I know the family already knows & likes them, and/or I need a bigger gift.

I was just in this conversation last week with my younger coworkers. They are all on their second kid (well, one has twins) and are going to showers for their friends who are mostly are in the same boat of being on a second or third kid. They all agreed - diapers and wipes. They give them exclusively now, and they appreciate getting them.

Maybe something like the socks or some cute basics (sleepers, onesies) and as many diaper boxes as fit your budget.
