My teen DD tells me today that she’s had this spot for a week and it’s itchy and now it’s bothering her. If not better by Monday I’ll take her in but would appreciate any thoughts on what this could be. I get nervous about round rashes. Tia

Nummular eczema, especially because it’s itchy.
If it weren’t itchy and there was any history of tick bite, I’d also throw in post-tick-bite bullseye rash, but that typically looks a bit different.

no idea but why do kids wait a week to tell us they've had an itchy rash? My kids do this ALL.THE.TIME!

A vote for waiting to start any treatments until you can have a pediatrician (or dermatologist) take a look at it. I still think that the 2 most likely dx's are ringworm and nummular eczema. The problem is that the treatments are different enough that if you guess wrong, you could make matters worse. (Note: I’ve actually had both, although mercifully not at the same time — fun times...)

I’d treat it with an Over the counter anti fungal. Been there done that a few times

Thanks all. Rays that I’m happy it might be ringworm and not a bullseye rash. Thanks!
