I really, really want to, but DD wants me to wait until September 1st. .
How long do you wait? Do you wait until school starts, until the weather turns more predictably fall-ish, or until the calendar hits a certain date?
Thanks for chiming in!

I'm in no rush. I wait til the first day of fall. Halloween I won't decorate until Oct. 1.

Never? LOL!
We go all out for Halloween, inside and out, but even then we're super procrastinators and are lucky if we've started decorating by mid-Oct!
But I'm also in SoCal and it will stay super hot until Halloween so we really don't have "fall."
Another “never”. I’m terrible and never decorate.

For us, definitely not until October! Hot tip: southern California’s hottest month might just be September. Want to visit a beach here come then! It definitely doesn’t feel like fall. So I don’t generally see much in the way of fall decorations until later!
Mid to late September.
I love fall. So usually around 1st or 2nd week of Sept. as far Halloween stuff, we add all those to the existing fall decorations around 1st weekend of Oct.

End of Sept. It is hot here sometimes through Oct and I leave my fall things up till the very end of Nov.

Fall is my favorite season, so by this time every year I'm excited to get it started! I put mums on the front porch when the stores get them, and eventually pumpkins around the beginning of October (after we take the kids to the pumpkin patch). Sometimes I'll put out corn stalks, too, and maybe a hay bale. I also switch out the pillows on our porch chairs from summery ones to fall ones, and I'm going to maybe add a fall-ish plaid blanket or two on the chairs. We love reading on our front porch, so I'm hoping that will help us be able to stay out longer.
I don't put out Halloween decorations, but the kids do each carve a pumpkin a day or two before Halloween, and we have those lit on Halloween night.
