Default Need help with Halloween costume

DD1 favorite holiday is Halloween. She loves dressing up, not really the idea of being someone else, just putting something on and going around the neighborhood for candy.
She is 14, taller than me, and I am having trouble finding appropriate costumes. She is autistic and I figured I may be taking her trick or treating for another 20 years. I want a costume that she knows what it is, like she has no idea what the Decendents are or Harry Potter. She still like Dora, Daniel Tiger, Peppa pig, etc
I think if she had the language she would have told me last year that I coped out on a too easy costume with an M&M shirt. It was like she was looking at me saying this is not a costume.
My mom use to make all her costumes but I thought the M&M shirt was a good idea. This is what she’s been so far
Bunny, flower, monkey, little bo beep, Cinderella, a dog, butterfly, witch, Belle, Snow White, Annie, Dora, Dorothy, and the M&M

    Any ideas?

One of my favorite teen costumes I've seen is a Christmas tree. It was a green shirt and skirt and had working lights on it and ornaments.

    Cleopatra?

DD was a lady bug one year... Black top and black bottom with wings and headband style antennae. Cute, works for any age...

Also, using a simple lab coat... Vet, Doctor, Mad Scientist...

Does she like Where's Waldo books? I've seen some really cute Where's Waldo (or Where's Wendy) costumes that look great but aren't super complicated/would be pretty easy to put together.

Do all of your kids want to do a theme together?

I love the gumball machine idea.

If you take her to the Halloween store maybe see what she likes?

Does she have a favorite book? Fav tv show or movie?

I love this thread and love the pics.

You've gotten some great suggestions. Chef, crayon, pizza, etc. Awesome What about the Statue of Liberty? https://www.target.com/p/women-s-lib...24#lnk=sametab

I bought a strawberry costume last year on clearance post Halloween and it was really cute. Also a Lego costume that could work for many ages (slip on for both). https://www.target.com/p/kids-lego-c...75#lnk=sametab
