I have a failsafe bug bite trick, I get terrible bites and when we travel to Canada the bugs are insane up there!

Run the bite under scalding hot water, like as hot as you can stand, for as long as you can stand, usually 3 seconds is enough. Obviously some bites are in difficult spots, but the ones on ankles, legs, arms are usually the worst and the hot water takes the itchiness out for up to 8 hours.

I saw a hack to use an old medicine dropper to do the same thing, in case you have some hanging around

So tempted to buy it for dd. She gets huge reactions to any bug bites that I’m tempted to just buy it and see if it works. But I don’t want to waste my money if it’s just a gimmick.

Yes, this definitely works and I do it too, but sometimes the bites are in spots that you can't easily put under water without hopping in the shower. I had a bunch of random bugs bites on my upper arm last week that wouldn't have been easy to run under water. I used the suction device instead.
