We have a family tradition of making awesome costumes. I'm overcommitted this year and could not. DS2 picked out a costume from Chasing Fireflies...and we just got notice that it's sold out (despite multiple order confirmations...grrr).
I need to throw money at this problem. For various reasons (Halloween is hard for kids with anxiety) he need a nice costume. He'll wear it all year at home, so quality is a strong need. PBK is too babyish, but that's the quality we want. Where should I look (online ideally)?

When DGD2 was at the age when her entire wardrobe consisted of costumes (her preschool teacher once asked DIL if she owned any regular clothes!), we discovered Little Dress Up Shop. Haven’t bought much there lately but they seemed to be expanding their size range a lot. Excellent quality, and made for repeated washing etc. Customer Service was very helpful.

It used to be that the manufacturer was in the URL of the item on the Chasing Fireflies site. If that is still the case then you can Google the manufacturer and see who else may have it. Most of their clothes and costumes are not exclusives so can be found elsewhere.

Looks like the Party City one and Amazon one are the same. I would get one of those to use for Halloween then negotiate with Chasing Fireflies to send you their version at a discount when it is back in stock that he can use at home.

We have had some luck with costumes from etsy…
It may be a little late, but it's worth a try.
