Easy cake for DH to bake

My favorite is Angel food cake and so simple with a box.

If you like chocolate, the Trader Joe’s chocolate quinoa cake mix is really good! I make a chocolate quinoa cake from scratch that is amazing but the TJs mix is a fantastic and fast alternative. I make in a Bundt pan and it can look very impressive with a drizzle of chocolate ganache or with tubes of white buttercream piped on top.

That is so sweet of him! What is your favorite flavor of cake? Chocolate? Carrot? Spice?

Whatever is easiest for him. I think the last time he baked was probably cookies with his mom when he was a kid.

He knows I’m struggling with my mom and sisters, not that they did anything for my birthday other than a call. He said he’s never made me something for my birthday and I usually make him or DS something - correction on that, the last few years I’ve bought DS cheesecake for his birthday cake. So he feels he wants to do more than just driving to pick up cheesecake
