Default Why is it snowing already?

Why is it snowing already? It’s only October. And snow is predicted for trick-or-treating, with a high of 34, but I’m guessing it’s going to be closer to the low of 24 in the evening. And it’s not like I live in Minnesota or Maine or Canada. But it’s better than wildfires, so I’ll stop bitching.

Article from a few days ago:

"A frigid blast of wintry air will descend over much of the Lower 48 states next week, bringing the potential for record low temperatures from the Midwest to the Rockies. The stage is set for a bone-chilling Halloween for a large swath of the continental United States, thanks to an air mass whose leading edge is already plowing through the lower Mississippi Valley."

The newspaper claimed we were colder than Alaska today. Some Arctic air blast. Oh well, "blame Canada"

Sorry, can’t blame us this time . Up here in Canada it was a beautiful 18 degrees Celsius today! In Fahrenheit, I think that’s in the 60’s!!

The newspaper said it was "an arctic air blast from Canada". Honestly, it made it sound like the whole country sent its cold air to the US
