Default What device are you using to stream Disney+ on your tv?

I took advantage of the free Disney+ through Verizon Wireless Unlimited Data promotion, but we don’t own a streaming device as we have cable, and a smart tv (Panasonic). I initially thought we would just get an Apple TV, but then I just read that a fire stick would work as well. Other than the price of the Firestick being about 200% less than Apple TV is there is preference or advantage to either?

We are a one tv household (at least for another 6-8 months and we may get a second if we move to house that has a living area and a playroom/game room space).

Can you download the app onto your TV? With our smart tv, we can download pretty much anything.

So far with Disney +, we’ve only used iPads. We also have Verizon and are happy to get it for free for a year.

I do not know...my tv is 7 years old and I will have to see if we can do that, but I don’t think so. It has prime video and Netflix, which until now was all we ever needed. From what I read though the app was only available on Android based Sony, Samsung, and LG smart TVs.

We are using a fire stick and it will work just fine. It will also be nice for you because your prime video, Netflix, and Disney+ will all be in the same place.

Also, we did get the additional adapter to directly connect our internet (vs using WiFi) but honestly don’t notice a difference between the wired connection one in our living room and the WiFi connected one in the playroom.

We've only got it on one TV right now, and that is using a Firestick. Works great.

Our Smart TV doesn't have the app listed as one of the options, so we're reevaluating what needs to be done there.

We have a newish smart tv that can download apps, but we love the Roku, and that’s what we use to stream. If you can’t get the app directly on your tv, any streaming option (Appletv, Roku, Firestick) will work.
