Has anyone ever had a painful lymph node with no other symptoms? I’m on day 5 of having a painful node in my neck (under my chin). It’s not just sore to the touch, it hurts all the time. I thought it was going to be the precursor to a virus but still nothing.

DC had this a year ago and it was very painful. DC's was quite swollen--you could see it from across the room. Sounds like it could be lymphadenitis. Our ped prescribed a 10 d course of antibiotics and told us to expect it would stay swollen for several months post infection. It did but and eventually went back to normal.

Sorry you're having this. DH has had it off and on. I made him email his doctor about it last night b/c it's been going for another week, but off and on for 6 mos.

Look up lymphatic massage on youtube and try that.
