Default ISO a new everyday coat

I currently have a Lands End squall parka that is my workhorse coat. I have other nicer coats that I use if I’m going out or meeting people but my squall parka is the coat I grab to run out to the bus, run out to the grocery store, run out to the library, etc. it’s starting to show it’s age so I’m looking at replacing it. The one I have I bought on super sale in the middle of summer. The prices are higher now even with the frequent 50% off sales so I’m wondering if I should be looking at different brands in that price point. Share your favorite everyday coat that can stand up to daily abuse. Bonus points if the pockets are big enough to hold a wallet and a phone. TIA

I bought a lighter weight down coat a couple years ago and LOVE it for running errands - warm enough to go in and out, not too warm to wear inside for at least a while, etc. Mine is a NorthFace Thermoball and was about the price point of yours.

BUT - just got this for DD. Similar weight and appears nicely made. Reviews are great. At this price it's worth a try. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That NF one is on my radar. Glad to hear good reviews.
