Default Little Games to keep 8yos busy?

I'm in charge of keeping a group of 6 to 10 8yos busy during an outdoor dress rehearsal that ALWAYS drags. I'm worried. We're doing this in the dark. I'll have them on a tarp on a blanket. I'm bringing snacks and extra blankets to keep them warm. The leaders of the group suggested we should play "little games" to keep them busy while they aren't performing. What could they mean? I think it will be dark... with maybe some stage lights? (It is at an outdoor park with a pavilion??) Got any bright ideas??

    Thanks!

A “Sound and Lights Show”. Since it will already be dark. Get some flashlights with different sizes of lights, and cover them with different colors of cellophane (or something similar). Play some music and tell the flashlight holders to pick one instrument they hear and “play” along with that instrument with the flashlight. Have them project it on the tarp or a white sheet/tablecloth fastened upright, like a movie screen.
