Default Might be getting a cast in next hr! Help

7yo might have broken thumb and be getting a cast. I know I've seen threads about kinds to ask for liners or whatever but cant seem to find any. Any tips?

Waterproof cast. They often don’t volunteer it since it cost a bit more and insurance doesn’t cover that fee usually. But soooo worth it. It was under $100 for my son when he broke his wrist and he was able to be in Legoland water park the next day. Waterproof is the way to go! Good luck, poor kiddo.

if you havent gone to the dr yet, take a shower & wash hair first

    borrow oversized coats.

    Good luck!

I don’t think they do waterproof casts anymore. Clothing and casts can be tricky. When DS broke his wrist, I ended up stretching the wristbands and sleeves of some long sleeved (sized up) t-shirts for him.

As we were driving there I had this very thought! However they fortunately don't think it is broken. There is some swelling but they dont see a break and think he just stretched a tendon.
