Question Recs for walking traction cleats for ice and snow?

I got a pair of Yaktrax for my husband and myself, and we like them, but the elastic on his has already broken in one spot, after not too many uses. I'd like to get a pair of my mom, and am wondering if there's a certain brand and style you recommend? These are mainly for walking around the neighborhood, and taking the dog for walks.

    Thanks for your help!

My pairs last a year or two and that is with running twice a week on trails that are rocky and icy. The only part that breaks are the coils on the bottom.

My old Yak Trax were rusted after I left them soaking in salt water after running.

My favorite blogger recommended Kahtoola Nanospikes. https://www.rei.com/product/875785/k...raction-system

I bought a pair, but haven't tried them.
