For relaxing, all our kids vote Maui beach vacation. Wailea first choice. We like the Big Island for a change and Oahu too for a change but the overwhelming favorite and something they want to do every year is Maui. They are all good travelers and we’ve done some ambitious trips (Africa for three weeks, multiple countries, tiny planes to middle of nowhere), they like cities in smaller doses (love London and Paris and Cape Town). The other place they want to go again is Italy. We did a month there with two weeks at a villa on a hill in a Chianti region with its own beautiful pool. Day trips with the villa as home base. They want to go back. They all liked other parts of Italy but the villa and small charming pedestrian friendly towns and delicious food made for a relaxing vacation.

Same with my boys. I've offered to take them back to WDW, or go to Universal, they always prefer the just renting a beach house. We keep it low key and only wander to the aquarium and maybe out to eat 1x, maybe the movie theater if it is rainy. Otherwise, it's beach time or hanging out at the house.

kauai especially Has a lot of outdoorsy activities and hiking, too, or you could just hang out on the beach.
The Greek Islands would be fabulous to relax and also explore another culture and cuisine, but avoid touristy places like Santorini in August. It’s a zoo! If you’re interested in pursuing this, some of the less touristy islands would be a better option. Perhaps Naxos? This is a good resource: https://www.davestravelpages.com/bes...o-visit-greece

Yes, Santorini is a tourist trap nightmare and I would avoid it! We've been to Naxos, Santorini, Athens, Paros, and Antiparos. We liked Paros and Antiparos best. Antiparos has the caves that would be fun for teens.
My in laws and BIL have been vacationing in Naxos every year for 35+ years. DH spent every summer there as a kid and has had no desire to go back, but his brother calls it his "home" and even got married there.

Sorry, I can't stop laughing at the idea of "relaxing" and "with teens" at the same time; and then adding in "on vacation"! lololol.
ETA: my own 16YO hates the beach. She's not a fan of hot or sand. we live by the beach so it's not a novelty for her. Our last few vacations she could stand have been urban-- lot of activities available. She liked NYC the best bc of broadway shows. we also went to Paris, Chicago, wash DC. She stayed in her room as much as we let her when we rented a condo ON THE BEACH in maui.
