    Default Vacation Backpack

Can anyone rec a small lightweight backpack to use while on a city vacation involving some hiking and biking? I need it hold Epi pens, inhaler, water bottle and maybe fleece. The small Mz (city and small metro) get terrible reviews due to short straps. Has anyone heard of Knomo? I saw a cute one on someone at a lax tourney today. I would prefer something more stylish than outdoorsy. Thanks!

    Knomo one I saw:

I would probably see this as an opportunity to pick up a Fjallraven Kanken. I don't have one but they're cute and on trend right now. Have fun on your trip!

I just ordered a city mini from pac safe. It is stylish and has all sorts of anti theft features. I found it at REI, so it will add to my dividend-yay!

I LOVE my Japanese Anello bag that I bought in Tokyo (super lightweight with a huge opening). They have them on Amazon but I've heard they're not "official" Anello bags (even in Tokyo there were only 3 official stores). But I'm sure the Amazon ones would be perfectly fine for travel. I have a mini one.

I'm all about comfort and function, so I may well be missing the style angle. My all time favorite travel backpack is my REI Rucksack 18. I've carried it through Hawaii, London, Copenhagen and Stockholm. https://www.rei.com/product/118789/r...0aArD-EALw_wcB

I picked up a cheap, lightweight black backpack at Ikea that DD used in Paris. It was in a bin near the check out. We loved that it packed up into itself.

We were in Paris at Thanksgiving and it was cold/rainy. DD used the bag for her instant camera, sometimes umbrella, her layers of clothes, whatever souvenir she bought. it was handy.

I love the one you linked to, Kindra. I can confirm that the smaller MZW ones have super short straps (even on a really short person like me). The regular Metro backpack might be bigger than you need but it’s SO light - I love it. Or maybe a Marlena?

Thanks everyone! I will look into all these.

Gt, I have the metro and it’s just too big. I think.
