Good books for long flights?

Some recent ones I have enjoyed:

The Guardians - John Grisham
Where the Crawdads Sing - Delia Owens
anything by Dorothea Benton Frank or Janet Evanovich

I had forgotten about some of these! I've recently read or listened to The Guardians, Where the Crawdads Sing, and 2 Janet Evanovich books, all of which I enjoyed. The only small upside to being sick off and on for about 3 weeks over the holidays was that I got to do a lot of reading.

Shadow of the Wind— just read this recently. Beautiful prose, great character development and interesting mystery plot

Americanah— oldie, but thought provoking and engaging plot
