This. Every word of it. Last fall was horrible for me because of situation exactly like this. I gave a lot of my time and energy only to be told by a few people to back off. Only when I saved the company money did they quit torturing me. But never a thank you. If it weren’t for a cause I really believe in, I’d walk away let them slowly fall apart.

I did ask if there were girls/womens cuts/sizes available, I'd be happy to pay more, and was told no. Not everyone wants to wear a shapeless, square t-shirt with a stupid crew collar. Our PTA did a poll asking what t-shirts we wanted, they meant design, not style, but I wrote "women's cuts!" and they listened! They bought cute v-neck tees, and they were very popular.
For our school swag, teen girls buy approximately zero women's cut, they all wear men's.

But, the moms for sure want women's cut. My peeve is that our local school swag store DOES provide women's cuts, but they are all over the top bling-y and glittery. Um, no.

I do want a women's cut, but not a "super girly sparkle" school logo! Worse, they usually have a special tag explaining that this design is "delicate" and explains the special care required!

Just slap a nice non-gendered screen-print on there please! I've actually mentioned it a few times, but it never changes. So, while I appreciate the shirt type choice, there are rarely any I want to buy.

And that is besides the point of people going to their Dr and asking for a specific drug. Those decisions should be made between patient and Dr. - not ad agencies.

Edited to add: I could go the rest of my life without another Viagra commercial! Or the new one about the funny shaped vegetables?
YES! I hate these too!! The big drug companies make so much money. Many years ago when the ads started, a good friend of mine was having trouble getting in to see her doctor. In the middle of this, she met a drug company ad exec who had pitched and pushed TV commercials. He was beyond thrilled at the huge increase in revenue to his drug company. He was a nice guy, but he had no awareness whatsoever of the costs to people and our environment. My friend finally made it in to see her doctor (and was eventually diagnosed with breast cancer). The doctor told her they'd had a big increase in people worried over issues they saw on commercials, and coming in to request drugs. This is so common now we don't really question it. But I'm totally with you that I hate them!

It's horrible isn't it! I think I have a slight bit of PTSD from getting locked in a room and screamed at last year. I wanted to quit so badly, but my kids are involved and I knew it would fall apart and not be there for my kids. Same board member is right back at not doing anything as we start another project. I really do enjoy volunteering and am able to do it. I just wish people wouldn't suck the enjoyment out of it by being cruel and caddy when they're just league or something.

This is a totally silly, small outrage, but I notice a heck of a lot of dental picks (those plastic flossers) littered about on the ground--parking lots, sidewalks, etc. Why on earth would someone be so conscientious about dental hygiene while "on the go," yet so careless and thoughtless enough to toss their used dental pick on the ground? They can't be bothered to find a garbage can to toss it into? Is it that hard for the user to not callously toss it on the ground? They can't just wrap it up and toss it later? I'm so perplexed by that. Stellar hygiene, yet so little regard for the public and littering.

I agree. I do see these quite a lot. But it really is the diapers that disgust me. People seem to change their children, neatly roll the dirty/wet diaper tightly and then leave it on the curb, or next to where their car was parked. Is it really that bad to put it on the floor of the car and take it to your next destination?

We are in the process of buying a new house. At the inspection they found a ton of those little plastic flossers and a ton of baby wipes in the septic tank. Who thinks it is ok to flush those things?!?

Yes, I meant for grownups. My kids are still in elementary, and they couldn't care less about girls vs boys cuts. But, I have boobs! They don't look good in a big ol' boxy man's shirt. It's fine if it's not V-neck, just make it a woman's shirt!

I don't want a sparkle logo either. I'm fine with the same logo. I just want a shirt that fits.

Yes! I especially feel this way about professional sports team shirts for women. No, I don't want a pink frilly sparkly NFL shirt of my team, I want a straight forward womens cut shirt - it's not that hard!!
