    Default Massage muscle gun recommendations

Ds wants a massage muscle gun for his 16th birthday as he is an active soccer player with tight hamstrings etc. I am looking to spend between $100-$150. I’ve been reading a ton of reviews but so many have mixed reviews where the low reviews seem to indicate product not working and then the companies all have terrible customer service. I know there are a lot if athletes on here so I thought I would ask to see if anyone has any personal experience with these. Likely to order if if amazon.

    Thanks!

We have a Theragun Liv, which is the cheapest Theragun, and we all love it. I also did a ton of research and decided to just spend a little more. The Theragun's triangular handle makes it super easy to massage your own back. Our whole family uses it so in the end the price was worth it ($250 on Amazon). Maybe your DS would be willing to pay for half? That's what we do for super expensive wants.

Checkout Lifepro massage guns--sold on Amazon. They have a number of different models, and a super helpful Facebook group. I've messaged with one of the owners a few times, and he's very responsive. I have one of their vibration platforms and will get a massage gun in the near future from them.

Yes, I think you or another IF poster on here mentioned it first! Then I saw all the posts in the Delay Don't Deny FB group!

We got our 15 year old a theragun. Not sure which one but was supposedly the quieter one. Not the most powerful since that one was too much. But it is great. He’s an athlete and he uses it and we’ve borrowed it too.

DH eventually bought a Theragun but he originally tried a hack he found online. For about $100, he bought a power tool (I don’t know what it’s called) and glued a hard lacrosse ball to the tip. Turn on the power tool, place the ball on your sore muscle, and voila! It worked well for a while but I think the lacrosse ball eventually loosens up from all the vibration.

ETA: just googled it. The tool is a reciprocating saw!

I know nothing about massage guns, but there is one on Amazon's deal of the day.
